About me

I was born in the Philippines and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BA in English. I've been a writer since high school.

For many years now my primary creative focus has been a coming-of-age novel about two young men in the 11th Airborne Division fighting in the Philippines during the last months of World War II. I'm also working on its sequel, set in 1946 California, as well as a novel set in the early 2000s about a pitching phenom for the San Francisco Giants. Additionally I've contributed to other books set in WWII in the Philippines. Currently I live in the Inland Northwest with my husband.

Marketing & consumer writer

From 2003 to 2006 I worked as a freelance marketing writer based in Makati, Metro Manila. My major projects included news items and advertorial copy for real estate developments like The Columns Ayala Avenue for Alveo Land (then CII) and The Residences at Greenbelt, as well as write-ups for TEVA and Kickers footwear.

Switching lanes to product reviews and consumer guides, I'm currently on contract to BestReviews with a focus in home and kitchen products. I've written a number of buying guides for electronics, kitchenware, furniture, and other products.
